Khar Welcomes Affogato - For the Love of Coffee & Gelato

Affogato, a chic new gelateria, has made its grand entrance amid the busy streets of Khar. This one-of-a-kind gelateria gets its name from the delicious Italian Affogato al caffè, also known as just Affogato, which is a coffee-based gelato. Founders Suren Joshi and Shalini Rattan are in charge of this innovative new cafe.

For the first time ever in India, The Bread, The Gelato, and The Coffee, also known as Il Pane, Il Gelato e Il Caffè, have been brought together under one roof by the founders of this contemporary patisserie. It's not your typical gelato shop, but it's the ideal hangout for all the foodies in the city.

With its charming outdoor space and 600 square feet of interior space, this gelateria can comfortably accommodate 25 guests. It is also proudly pet-friendly. "I tried the gelato Shalini makes. They were not only incredibly delicious, but also healthy," said Suren Joshi, co-founder of Affogato. We had to team up for something exciting right away, I knew. I've been considering expanding Bombay's selection of desserts and building a place where people can gather and engage in conversation while enjoying coffee and desserts. So I reasoned, "Why not combine her gelato and Javaphile's coffee and create something amazing?"

The star of the show—Gelato—is at the heart of the Affogato menu. The world has fallen in love with this traditional Italian dessert, and Mumbai's foodies can now experience the same genuine flavor right in their own city. Each scoop of gelato is a genuine representation of Italy's culinary heritage because it is made according to traditional methods. By importing their natural ingredients, such as vanilla beans from Madagascar, blueberries from South America, strawberries from Egypt, and pistachios from Sicily, the brand has taken it up a notch to bring you high-quality, authentic gelato.

What's more intriguing is that the majority of the gelati prepared here uses imported Sugar Alcohols, a type of safe natural sweetener, and has no added sugar. There is something for every dessert lover here, from well-known flavors like Belgian Chocolate, Salted Butter Caramel, and Tiramisu to more exotic choices like Almond Praline, Jamun Sorbet, Mango, and Strawberry Cheesecake. Sorbets and vegan and ketogenic gelati are additionally offered.
